With over 25 years of law enforcement experience, Anthony Taylor is an expert in a wide range of professional and law enforcement services including unique investigative techniques, innovative training processes, and world-class consulting practices.
Mr. Taylor has held a number of different positions including youth counselor, assistant teacher, pretrial service officer, community supervision officer, and federal air marshal. Mr. Taylor is also a veteran of the United States Armed Forces. In addition to the time spent actively engaged in the field of law enforcement, Mr. Taylor continued to hone his skills and knowledge with training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Artesia, New Mexico. In addition to these skills, he also has found the time to become a certified personal trainer and spin instructor.
Mr. Taylor’s law enforcement background includes formal training as an adjunct instructor, facilitator, and safety officer for probation/parole community supervision. Additionally, is a certified self defense instructor for the training academy for new officers and a CALM (Controlling Anger and Learning How to Manage It) instructor.
His accolades include 2009 Community Supervision Officer of the Year.
Mr. Taylor has served as an agency representative for law enforcement multi-agency task force initiatives. Based on his interactions and experience in law enforcement, Mr. Taylor has participated in presentations to law enforcement agencies during conferences both foreign and domestic. In addition, Mr. Taylor has provided presentations before community partners regarding the probation and parole mission in strengthening partnerships and critical success factors. As a probation and parole officer, Anthony Taylor has facilitated offender orientations in an open forum within the Washington, D.C. Police Department.
Outside of his time teaching and enforcing the law, Mr. Taylor is a volunteer wrestling coach for the Laurel Boys & Girls Club in Laurel, MD. There, he serves as a mentor and coach for high risk youth. His contributions include assisting young men and women in reaching their full potential by building a platform of inspiration, motivation, and education on being a role model for their community.
In his free time, Mr. Taylor is a wrestling referee for the Maryland Officials Wrestling Association. He is also a Prince Hall Master Mason (Washington, D.C.) and Prince Hall Shriner. Both of these organizations advocate strong relationships with their communities and develop leaders that provide education, mentorship, and support that embodies friendship, morality and brotherly love.
